Description

The Edwin C. Jellett Series of Scrapbooks, Volume 9 -The Wissahickon Page 33 contains a photograph with a typed caption that reads: "Cleaver Mill and House, Whitemarsh Township". The photograph shows an unpaved lane in the foreground extending into the distance. Both sides of this lane are bordered by open, grassy land. Both sides also have a "split rail" fence supported by wooden posts set at regular intervals. It appears that the Cleaver House is located on the left hand side of the lane in the distance. Directly across the lane from the house would be the Cleaver Mill, a large "barn-like" building. A low stone wall seems to surround the property close to the house, extending into the distance. A tree canopy predominates in the background.
