Description

The Edwin C. Jellett Series of Scrapbooks, Volume 1- The Wissahickon Page 72 contains a lined sheet of white notepaper with Jellet's Notes entitled "Wiissahickon Waters". Page 72 is a continuation of notes begun on page 70 (see 2013.34.1.70). The page can be summarized as follows: From Soudertown and Hatfield (in Montgomery County) the west branch of the Neshaminy Creek unites with the northern Neshaminy branch near Chalfont and forms "Big Neshaminy Creek" which flows southeasterly. South of Doylestown, it flows into the Delaware River. Eastward, Pennypack Creek begins in southwestern Bucks County and discharges into the Delaware River at Holmesburg. On the southeast, The Tacony Creek flows into the Delaware River at Frankford. Southward, Wingohocking Creek rises at Mt. Airy and flows south and east through Germantown, discharging into Tacony Creek at Frankford.
