Page 45 contains two columns of a newspaper article from the Ambler Gazette of 11-23-1905 with the headline: "Cleaver's Mill Burned." The article recounts the blaze on that date in the early morning which totally destroyed the mill building and much of the building contents. Total losses could reach $12,000, only part of which would be covered by insurance. Due to the time of the blaze and the fact that everything appeared fine the evening before, arson is suspected. No fire fighting equipment was in close proximity, so efforts were contained to rescuing livestock and what supplies that could be recovered. The article ending recounts the history of the mill and past owners.Collection
