The Edwin C. Jellett Series of Scrapbooks, Volume 9 -The Wissahickon
Page 71 contains a newspaper clipping of an article entitled: "Old Water Power Mills". Jellett has labeled the article as: "Ambler and Vicinity". The author recounts the large number of mills using water power found in the Whitemarsh area/location. Many of the mills were flour/grist mills, as well as saw mills. Some were utilized to manufacture woolen goods and later, many were used to produce electrical power. The article notes the location of many mills and some technical information about mill operations.Collection
