Page 111 contains the following:
(a, top) This photograph has a typed caption that reads: "Butler Pike Bridge, Ambler, 1905." The Wissahickon creek is visible in the foreground. In the background is visible a portion of the stone arch bridge in Ambler that carries Butler Pike over the Wissahickon creek. A mirror image of the stone arch is reflected in the creek. Actually, with magnification, the stone of the bridge can be seen extending to the left (in the background). Some trees and foliage obscure a clear view of the bridge.
(b, bottom) This photograph has a typed caption that reads: "Butler Pike Bridge, Ambler, 1908. Photograph by J. C. Bartholomew." This photograph shows a more complete view of the multiple stone arch bridge in Ambler that carries Butler Pike over the Wissahickon. This view is a clearer view that 111a above because it was taken during the Fall and/or early Spring with denuded tree branches that do not obscure the view of the bridge.Collection
