The Edwin C. Jellett Series of Scrapbooks, Volume 9 -The Wissahickon
Page 125 contains columns from a newspaper clipping (dated by Jellett as 8-18-1910) of an article entitled "Local History Sketch" by "E. M." A short column completes the article and is found by turning the while lined note paper over to reveal the reverse side where this short column is pasted onto the note paper. The article explores the history of the Plumly and Detwiler mills. Mention is made of how the mills and lands were transferred by deed to several members of the Detwiler, Morris and Stephens families over many years. The mills and properties described are located along Morris Road southwest of Ambler.Collection
