The Edwin C. Jellett Series of Scrapbooks, Volume 9 -The Wissahickon
Page 149 contains the following:
(a, top) Jellett's note is entitled "Foulke's Mill". On the stream at Blue Bell Road, stood the grist(?) mill of Foulk.
(b, bottom) This is a printed photograph with a caption that reads: "The old Foulke Mill at Penllyn. Taken down in 1896." The print shows the building in greater clarity that the etching found on scrapbook page 147 [2013.34.9.147]. A door with steps can be clearly viewed on the left side of the building, along with a wooden trellis-like structure (or perhaps it is shelving). Much of the structure is obscured by a large tree close to the house, whose foliage prohibits a full view. The structure is multi storied and constructed of stone. A path (likely unpaved) can be seen in the foreground.Collection
