Description

The Edwin C. Jellett Series of Scrapbooks, Volume 9 -The Wissahickon Page 153 contains a printed photograph with a caption that reads: "The Foulke Mansion, Penllyn, Pennsylvania, 1902." The photograph shows a residence with many "wings" that spread out from the center. This would suggest that additions were made to the original structure over the course of time. A full view of the residence is not possible as the right part of the photograph does not include a full view of the rest of the residence. This structure is/was located at the site of today's (2014) Penllyn station of the SEPTA (Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority) Regional Rail system. That address is 908 Pershing Rd., Blue Bell, PA 19422. Whether this residence is still standing is unknown.
