The Edwin C. Jellett Series of Scrapbooks, Volume 9 -The Wissahickon
Page 179 contains the following:
(a, top) This photograph has a caption of "Wissahickon, North Wales, PA." This photograph shows a man standing atop a small bridge spanning the Wissahickon. The bridge is set upon two stone columns which support each end of the bridge. It cannot be ascertained whether this bridge carries traffic over the Wissahickon or is simply a foot bridge. The bridge seems to have a wooden railing; however, with magnification, the man atop the bridge appears to be standing outside the railing with his body fully visible and not obscured by the railing.
(b, middle) This photograph has a caption of "Wissahickon Creek, North Wales, PA." The photograph shows the Wissahickon in the center of the photograph flowing in its course between both banks. Trees and foliage are visible on the opposite bank.
(c, bottom) This photograph has a typed caption of "Above North Wales." This photograph shows a bridge spanning the Wissahickon. A stone wall surmounts the bridge and extends to both sides of the photograph. A concrete (?) post appears to be immersed in the creek bed providing support for the middle of the bridge.Collection
