(a, top) This photograph has a typed caption that reads: "Woods near Montgomery Square where the Wissahickon originates." This photograph shows a large open field extending from the foreground into the background, where a large grouping of trees designate the beginnings of the woods mentioned in the caption.
(b, bottom) This photograph has a typed caption that reads: "Pool in Woods where the Wissahickon originates, Montgomery Township." The photograph shows a scene in a wooded area with a pool of water somewhat visible on the forest "floor" in the foreground. According to the caption this would be the location where the Wissahickon creek originates.Collection
