The Edwin C. Jellett Series of Scrapbooks, Volume 1, Part 2- The Wissahickon
Page 149 contains a photograph showing two men in a rowboat on the Wissahickon. The man in the foreground is wearing a hat and coat and clutching what appears to be a Windor-style chair back(?), while the man in the background is in shirtsleeves and holding both oars. The Wissahickon flows behind the boat into the distance and both banks of the creek are visible. The abundant foliage in the photograph, plus the man in shirtsleeves, suggets the photograph was taken in late Spring/Summer. Whether the men in the boat are heading north or south on the Wissahickon cannot be determined.Collection
