The Edwin C. Jellett Series of Scrapbooks, Volume 5 -The Wissahickon
Page 145 contains a photograph with a typed label which reads: "By John Redles, 1906". The photograph shows a view of the Wissahickon Creek taken from the shoreline and encases a small, scluded "alcove" of rocks and trees on a hillside descending to the water line. Some tree brances are seen floating in the water. A major portion of the water surface appears dark due to the tree canopy filtering the sunlight. In the left foreground, the sun can be seen shining on the water surface causing it to appear much lighter than the surrounding water surface.Collection
