The Edwin C. Jellett Series of Scrapbooks, Volume 9 -The Wissahickon
Page 161 contains the following:
(a, top) This photograph contains Jellett's handwriting (underneath) which reads: "Mumbower's Mill, Gwynedd, PA. (Ludwig Earl?) 9-23-1905." The photograph shows the mill in the left background, again partially obscured by trees. In the foreground is an open rail wood fence that extends into the background where a road leads onto a twin arch stone bridge that spans the Wissahickon. Open fields predominate in the foreground.
(b, bottom) This photograph shows a portion of the Mumbower Mill building as seen through tree branches/leaves. A stone wall extends along the side of the building. The building is a multi-story stone building that appears to contain a ground level story with a below ground area excavated to allow daylight through the side windows. Jellett's handwriting below identifies the structure as "Mumbower's Mill, Gwynedd, PA. 9-23-1905."Collection
