Jellett’s Negative, Film. Meehan had his nurseries on the east side of Germantown Avenue, souh of Gorgas Lane. These nurseries supplied much of the floral material used to landscape many of the larger estates in the Germantown, Mount Airy and Chestnut Hill neighborhoods. Today, Meehan Avenue is named in honor of Mr. Meehan.
