Photographs from Photo Scrapbook 1, Part 2, Page 88
Please see Notes for a description of captioning. This photograph shows a view of the Bringhurst House located at 5448 Germantown Avenue taken from the pavement in front of the Morris-Deshler House at 5442 Germantown Avenue. Therefore, the view is mostly from the side, although the front of the structure is also visible. The structure is actually three stories (the gable roof allowing the third story) and is stucco-covered. Twin dormer windows (each consisting of two windows to a dormer) are visible, along with a small rounded-top attic window (visible from the side view). The pavement shown in the foreground is brick-paved. Germantown Avenue (also in the bottom, right foreground) is also paved. A view of Germantown Avenue facing north is seen with many business establishments visible. An automobile is clearly visible parked along Germantown Avenue in front of the Bringhurst House. A portion of the front facade of the Deshler-Morris House is also seen to the left in the photograph. Ivy is seen growing along the second story portion of the Bringhurst House side wall in the photograph.Photograph Details
