Photographs from Photo Scrapbook 1, Part 2, Page 99
Please see notes for captioning information. This photograph shows a side view of the Concord School House located at 6313 Germantown Avenue. (The main entrance to the Concord School House does not directly face onto Germantown Avenue but faces the side of the property lot). In the foreground is a tall stone wall, which runs almost the width of the photograph. At the right side, the wall height is reduced, affording a view of part of the lawn. Beyond the stone wall, the building is seen as a two story stucco covered structure with the roof surmounted by a belfry and weathervane. A tall brick chimney protrudes above the roof line. A street lamp is visible on the sidewalk, and another building is visible to the right. On the side of the School House between the second story windows is a stone tablet inset into the wall. The inscription on that tablet cannot be read from the photograph. Trees and other vegetation are visible throughout the property.Photograph Details
