Photographs from Photo Scrapbook 1, Part 2, Page 129
Photograph: Please see notes for captioning and other information. This photograph shows a view of the garden at Phil-Ellena, located in the 6800 block of Germantown Avenue, (after a storm as the caption indicates). The photograph shows a man (presumably an estate gardener) surveying the damage to the grounds after a storm. To the left in the photograph, some plants are seen lying on the ground. To the right in the photograph, some plants in the background appear to have sustained storm damage. The man is standing on what appears to be a stone path and a wall surmounted by a fence and a double gate can be viewed in the background behind the gardener. Beyond the fence and gate there appears an expanse of trees.
