Please see Notes for a description of captioning. This photograph shows a view of the Grumblethorpe Tenant House at 5269 Germantown Avenue. The Grumblethorpe Tenant House is seen in the center of the photograph as a two story stone structue with a large shade tree growing in front of the structure obstructing a view of the roof. Four stone steps lead up to the front door and all of the front windows appear to be framed by solid shutters. To the right of the Tenant House is a wooden fence which encloses the space between the Tenant House and Grumblethorpe (a portion of which is seen in the right of the photograph). To the left of the Tenant House is a store front indicating a food market (a sign which is affixed to the utility pole indicates 'Meats'). Portions of additional buildings appear in the far left of the photograph. Trees are visible in the rear of the Tenant House property.
