Photographs from Photo Scrapbook 1, Part 1, Page 61
Photograph a is a view of the Wister House (named by John Wister as Vernon). The photograph is taken from the rear of the house and shows the main house with a large wing extending from the left rear of the house. Both the main house and the extended wing are three stories with a stucco facade. In the rear of the main house is a one story extension with a series of small windows and a sloping roof. Directly above this sloping roof is an oval window with various triangular panels. Both "wings" have dormer windows and tall chimneys protruding above the roof line. In the foreground is a large expanse of "lawn" and many mature trees visible on the property. A path runs from in front of the house to the rear and behind the house.
