Notes

Owner: Mrs. Henry Brown "The Wood family tree...has included altogether fourteen respected men of medicine since the eighteenth century. The handing on of the name Horatio Curtis Wood has reached a sort of impasse in various branches; there now being a Dr. Horatio C. Wood Jr. (Pennsylvania '97), a Dr. Horatio C. Wood IV (Haverford '50) and a Mr. Curtis Wood (Yale '54)." (Source: The Perennial Philadelphians: The Anatomy of an American Aristocracy, page 109, By Nathaniel Burt)
