Shawl. Woman's woolen shawl with cuffs; red wool with blue silk edging. Silk edging folded over edge of shawl with 1/4 - inch showing on each side. Rectangular; plain weave; raised nap; bright blue tape as edging - all hand stitched. Red wool elbow guards; cylinders slightly larger at one end than other; slight curve; both ends edged with blue tape; tape made into bow at the narrow end. Small hole with buttonhole stitching in each outside wide end.
Shawl Dimensions: 40-inches high by 30-inches wide.
Elbow Guard Dimensions: 8 1/2-inches long; 11-inches circumference.
Fair Condition. A few small holes; some areas where nap is missing; one large hole near center. Condition of elbow guards: some missing nap; edging missing on a section of one at the wide end. No date given.
