Cape. Woman's black capelet; silk fabric; trimmed with silk lace; long front panels; fancy braid over shoulders; ball fringe around bottom. Excellent condition. Circa 1885. Given by Mrs. Philip Cowan whose husband purchased the Bechtel House from Miss Witherstine in 1956. Transcribed from original accession record.
