Rococo Revival type cottage furniture upholstered arm chair--ivory painted with multicolored decorations of flowers and garlands with gilt lines and edges. Exposed wooden crest rail with rounded shoulders and raised center with simple cartouche (similar to crest rail on the side chairs). The uprights curve in slightly as they approach the seat and then flare out again at the seat. There are two arches where the backrest meets the seat giving the illusion that the backrest is pierced at its base. The backrest is tufted and upholstered with blue damask wool. The tufted backrest is bordered with a blue and white silk gimp (similar to the side chairs). The arms sweep out from the backrest in a U-shape matching the shape of the seat. The arms have a rectangular section of upholstery secured to the arms by small tacks or nails. The arms have rounded ends. The seat is not tufted; it is upholstered in blue damask wool and swells in the front center. The cushion in the seat measures 5" from the seat rails. The upholstered seat is bordered in blue and white silk gimp. The front seat rail has a serpentine shape with two small carved circles. Flanking a recessed oval at center decorated with a single flower. Cabriole front legs have a recessed oval at the knee, each decorated with a single flower. Each front leg ends in a slightly scrolled toe. The chair has stump rear legs.
The underside of the chair has fabric stretched over it and nailed to the seat rails. Each leg ends with a caster.
