Description

Oval miniature, 3/4 bust length portrait, of Arthur Eli White as a young man. A. Ivory: Side parted light hair, long, horizontal blonde mustachio; blue eyes looking forward. Wears black military jacket (closed), white collar shows at neck, gold "buckle" epaulets. Set in mottled brown and blue background. Flat glass lens over ivory. B. Frame: Set in oval floral molded and beaded gilt frame. Flat inside border with deeply molded rim alternating stylized flowers and leaves. Oval hook at top. Reverse: Smooth matte gilt surface.
