(proper right) "Entered according to act of Congress in the year 1866 by THOMAS HICKS, in the clercks (sic) office of the district court of the United States for the Southern District of New York,"(center) "ENGRAVED by A.H. Remarks: Print has been attached to commercial stretcher and tacked on all sides with brads (small nails). The brads are rusted. Brown paper has been glued onto stretcher as support medium for print. The two are not attached to each other. The brown paper is highly acidic, and it has migrated to the print. In many places along the edges the print is ripped from the brads. The print surface is dirty.
