Printed and handwritten bond beginning "Know all Men by these Presents, That (sic) I, Thomas P. Barton of the Town of Red Hook in the County of Dutchess and State of New York, am held and firmly bound unto Joseph Spurr of the same place in the sum of Ten Thousand Dollars...," May 1, 1860; written on "BOND" lined paper; signed by "Thos. P. Barton;" seal intact at lower right bottom of top page; reverse top right corner has printed and written text as follows: "Dated May first 1860 / Thomas P (sic) Barton / to / Joseph Spurr / Bond."
