Description

Circular bowl, "scrolls and flowers" pattern: Rounded sides; raised foot rim; transfer-printed, hand-tinted border on white background in colors of green, orange/brown, blue, pink, red and yellow; design consists of alternating reserves: the first is in the shape of a rough rectangle with C-scrolls, a central pink flower, trailing foliage against a background of orange/brown conjoined cells; the second reserve is in the shape of an onion dome with a central four-petalled blue flower, green foliage, against a background of green conjoined cells with red and blue flowering branches issuing forth from base of reserve; a half pink flower separates reserves at border; small border design consists of stylized half flowers, outlined three times on a background of pink conjoined cells; an orange line at rim and foot rim, a thin black line precedes "scroll and flower" border; small border design appears inside bowl with a thin black line underneath; a floral spray in red and shades of green appears at center of bowl interior; mark appears on bottom printed in pink: "a crown/ a globe/ MINTONS in a rectangle mid-section of globe/ ENGLAND; "Davis Collamore & Co., Ltd./ FIFTH AVE & 37th ST/ NEW YORK". Written in red ink near rim: "B157"
