Handwritten document on rectangular folded printed lined paper with two more printed lined pages pasted on the third page; no title, September 29, 1860; embossed insignia with figure of seated woman enclosed in decorative border in upper left corner; text on first page begins as follows: "This Agreement (sic) for building Barn (sic) two Sheds / and Corn (sic) house the 29th of September one thousand / eight hudnred and Sixty (sic) by and between Mrs (sic) / Louise Livingston of the Town (sic) of Red Hook County / of Dutchess by her Agent (sic) Garrett (sic) Van Keuren...;" text of agreement appears on first page and on upper part of second page; signature of "Louise Livingston / by her agent Garret Van Keuren" and "Peter A (sic) Harris" appear near center right of second page of writing and signature of "Cora Livingston Barton" on the center left of same page; two small circular seals, each covered by diamond shaped pieces of paper fixed to the page next to the Livingston and Harris signatures; financial information appears in lower part of second page, text beginning "Received on account / from Mr (sic) Van Keuren...," followed by eleven more lines of writing and figures and the signature of "Peter A (sic) Harris" in the lower right corner of second page; third page is blank except for six lines of figures written in pencil in lower left corner; two pages attached by six small circular seals along the top of the pages; top piece of paper has handwritten text with numbered (1-9) items beginning "Specification for building Barn (sic) & / Sheds (sic) or Long (sic) Houses (sic) and Corn (sic) house...;" middle piece of paper has handwritten text beginning "Specification / A Barn (sic) to be 40 by 60 feet and post to be / 19 feet long timber to be hemlock Sets (sic) to be 8 by 10...;" fourth page is blank except for "Contract / for / Barn etc" vertically written in ink near center left side and six lines of figures written in pencil in lower center.Condition
