Note

For Visions exhibition, packed in Crate #15. 3/31/1989, James Barber, a researcher from the National Portrait Gallery in Washington, D.C., called with info about this bust. He said the bust is a rare survival. The original terra cotta by the same artist, William Rush, is in the collection of the Art Institute of Chicago. Rush also advertised plaster casts and a number were distributed to various libraries, but this is one of the few of the plaster versions whose whereabouts are known.
