A late Federal high chest with a mahogany veneer over pine side; base of drawers is tulip popular. It has an oblong top over three frieze drawers (middle one has a keyhole and two pulls, flanked by drawers with one pull). Next a long drawer with two pulls and a keyhole, and three long drawers (shorter in height than the above) with two pulls and a keyhole each. The pulls are made of brass and have a protruding domed-center surrounded by a circular band with a leaf motif and in the outer edge by a circular beaded band. The bracket feet are simple forms that curve slightly to meet the baseboard. The dresser lacks any ornamentation and the craftmanship seems to be somewhat inferior.
