MP.94.1275Description
A black and white engraving of "Christ Church", a small rectangular building with a simple facade, divided into three parts. There are three doors, the central one being emphasized by framing full and half pilasters on either side, plus in the way the door slightly protrudes outward. The doors and upper windows are pointed arches decorated with bar tracing. The roof is pediment-like with pointed finials at its corners. In the center on the west side is a squared tower composed of two levels: on the lower level is a relief sculpture in a roundel; in the upper, four-pointed arched windows (one on each side). The tower has a crenelated roof with sharp finials at the corners. Just underneath is a frieze with a row of five quatrefoils. People gather in the street in front.Artwork Details
