Handwritten copy of document on blue paper concerning land owned by Janet Livingston Montgomery, on blue paper, n.d.; faded oval embossed insignia in upper left corner; text begins as follows: "The People (sic) of the State of New York by the grace / of God free and independent: To all to whom there / present shall come "Greeting: Know ye that we have given, granted and confirmed, and by these present do give / grant and confirm unto Janet Montgomery All (sic) that / certain tract of Land (sic) under Water (sic) situated in the Town (sic) / of Rhinebeck in the County of Dutchess, Beginning (sic) at a / Rock (sic) on the Margin (sic) of Hudsons (sic) River being the Northwest (sic) / corner of the farm of said Janet Montgomery and running / thence into said river, North seventy eight degrees west / thirty three chains to the the edge of the channel thence / along the same South three and thirty minutes West...;" text continues on reverse; copy of signature of "Daniel D. Tompkins" in upper right section and copy of signature of " (two illegible words) Campbell / D (sic) of Sec (sic) of State" in lower right of reverse.
