Description

White plate with elaborate gold gilt and ivory border around brim. Start from outside edge gilt patterns include hearts, dots, Greek key, dots, hearts, motifs raised in gold gilt band. (Unraised) flat gilt of floral-stylized scalloped motif. Around interior of foot ring, a gold gilt band is repeated with raised hearts.

Mark on bottom is of spherical (global) shape with crown at top. "MINTONS/ ENGLAND. Davis Collamore & Co. Ltd./ FIFTH AVE. & 37th ST./ NEW YORK". Stamped in porcelain under glaze "MINTONS/ 8(?)0". Hand-painted red number on bottom "H1814".
