Dear Uncle
It is with pleasure I imbrace this oppor tun [^ity] / of writing to you I intended writing you before / and I hope you will excuse my not doing it. / Papas last letter said you had been unwell / for some days I hope by this time you have / quite recovered your health again. __
We have very good sleighing and the streets are / full of sleighs which makes it very lively / we were all out riding yesterday. _
I wrote to Papa the other day I presume he / received my litter.
I have nothing particular to communicate at / present except our good health and so much / finish my letter with love to your self. / Grandmama, Papa Mama and Brothers tell / Cortlandt I should be much pleased to receive / a letter from him _
Your Affectionate Niece
