Dear Sir
I was very much surprised yesterday morning / in receiving check Certificate and bill from Mr. / A. D. Irving, to see that you have taken off twenty / five Dollars off on work that has been called / O.K. by you, and all paid for by Mr. A. M. / Hunter and done according to Mr A.D. Irving / orders, that is unjust.
The Dining Room wood work at the time Mr A. / D. Irving made me change the color (from white / to cream) had all of the required coats of paint / but the varnish; that is one coat of filler, / two coats of lead and oil, one coat half oil and / turpentine, two coats french zinc, and one coat / of shellac on most of the panel work to Keep / sap from oozing out and to turn white paint / all yellow, and burned off part of it.
As there was no refusal on my part to do work / according to specifications I am entitled to full / Amount of Contract which I have already received / from Mr A. M. Hunter, therefore has nothing to /

do with present bill of Extras on first Contract. / that is an outrage.
To avoid further trouble for yourself please / settle at once as I will not receipt bill before / settlement is made in full.
I cannot understand the reason why you sent / Certificate to Mr. A. D. Irving instead of / sending it to me.
Please replyd to this as I wish an answer.
