General Notes

Note Type

Curatorial Remarks

Note

Absence of one entire sleeve, incongruity of sleeve shape to dress silhouette, and missing bodice lining are all indications dress has been altered at some point in its history. Silk lace trim also appears to be a later addition, possibly in the mid-19th century. [Jessa J. Krick, 4/9/2010]
