Union Club Monday April 15 / 43 I am here from Nevis to day on my way to Hart. / ford Conn’t to make money The Schuylers + I / are to be paid thousands if we [restore?] the / [Harrisburg?] R.R. Ludlow / on Saturday talked with me in relation to / [Morris?] and can use him with his foreign / correspondents I intend to look into the / matter + if I can be part will engage / in the matter with all my energy _ / I saw Bard today The Trust is doing / better the stock has gone up to 81. The / Insurance business is going on as usual / Th as is that of [Defents?] by the Public / officers. The Publis however as yet hold / back. We may get a Dividend in Jany / 1844 but certainly will in July of that / year. I have been all along the Long / I.R.R. If the Company can get [Invs?] / they will extend it 20 miles having / only about the same distance to the / terminus.
