Item "B": A color miniature portrait, painted and penciled, of E. Rideout as identified by the family. She sits on a Spanish wood carved chair backed with red velvet and wears a 19th century Victorian style costume. Her face, hands, and the light blue material are rendered in colored pencil, while the rest is delicately painted.
Item "A": The overall frame is rectangular and made of leather-faced wood. The picture is matted by a gold matte cut in the shape of an oval. Attached to the frame is one hinged door on the left side and just the hinges remain on the right side. There's a latch at the bottom to secure these doors. On the inside of the present door is velvet, once probably maroon. The backside of the frame is of leather-faced wood and the stand is still attached.
On the back of the frame in white tape is written: "DELAFIELD" "E RIDEOUT"

Notes
Remarks: Details of condition: The leather is very torn and beaten. The velvet seems to have sun damage as its color is now brownish instead of maroon. One of the hinged doors is missing. There's glue residue from a sticker-tag on the glass fronting.
