Condition

Notes

Remarks: Felicity Campbell examined the canvas for possible inclusion in the 2012 Winter Antiques Show Loan Exhibition: canvas has an opaque varnish and some surface dirt that could be removed; there are some small tension cracks in the hair and at the upper left corner; there are light marks where the stretcher bars are; small areas could be re-toned to lessen bar marks and light cracks; Marylou Davis examined the frame: this is a lovely period frame that does not need any restoration work, maybe a tiny touch-up, but can be displayed as-is [Jessa J. Krick, 9/8/2011].

Notes

Remarks: Details of condition: Needs restretching; some crackling; some frame chipping.
