Pair of tongs with elongated urn-shaped finial: hinge covered by circular medallions with knob at centers; rounded "shoulders" curve back inward and have "turnip" in the form of a ring, reel, and softly tapering element below; brass shafts curve in to meet each other with termini of pad-shaped grips; turned element 1 1/2" from termini.
