Note

Components g-j. feature Washington Irving and his works Tales of a Traveler, Rip Van Winkle, Life of Washington, Sketch Book. Two cards are missing from each author's "book" of cards, as each book is comprised of six cards, however the Irving set appears to be complete as each title printed in the list is also represented by a card. This may be a misprint in the directions, as it appears to be the case with the other authors as well. Publishing date appears the 1910s based on the box image. The cards are very similar to those of SS.2016.8 a-y, but printed on a higher grade of paper The rummy-style games of authors were produced by several different companies in several different forms (later versions included more authors) and with different box illustrations from the late 19th century to the mid-20th century.
