The lid and body are of one pattern, a bubbly flower in white, some white with rosette pattern in center colored blue, blue background with a sort of sgraffito pattern or hawthorn pattern.
Inside the jar is a note which reads:" This so called 'Ginger' Jar is actually an Herb jar in China. This one is a copy-Mid 19th century- not too authentic".
