Complete edition of Harper's New Monthly Magazine, dated February, 1885, Volume 70, No. 417, stapled at top and bottom of spine, containing article on pages 350-359 titled "General Richard Montgomery" by Louise Livingston Hunt from her publication of 1876; text is similar but different from the 1876 publication; contains drawn images of Richard Montgomery, "ROBERT R. LIVINGSTON", the "MONTGOMERY ARMS," the "SWORD OF GENERAL MONTGOMERY," "THE MONTGOMERY PLACE AT BARRYTOWN" (northwest sides with grazing sheep); a "FAC-SIMILE OF SIGNATURES TO THE WILL OF RICHARD MONTGOMERY;" a photograph of the "WATCH AND SEAL OF MONTGOMERY;" table of contents reads "General Richard Montgomery........LOUISE LIVINGSTON MONTGOMERY / Illustrations. Remarks: Complete edition stapled at top and bottom of spine; staples are rusty; staining on left side of front cover; front cover is chipped with marking in lower left section; lower right corner is chipped; pages intact but folded back, foxed, chipped and stained in places; back cover is chipped along all edges except the spine and missing lower left corner; surface dirt and staining on both front and reverse; interior pages clean and every page is clearly legible.
