Medal is circular with classical Greek woman figure holding old ship in left hand and newer style (steam) ship in right with silhouette of New York City in background. Around outside says "HUDSON.FULTON/ CELEBRATION. N.Y." On back of medal are two profiles of men facing left and around outside it says "HENRY HUDSON.1609.ROBERT FULTON.1807 / 1909 (across bottom).
