Inquisition Indented taken at the dwelling house of John Simmons Innholder Situate in Wall / Street in the City of New York on the sixth day of December in the year of our Lord one thousand seven / hundred and ninety Before Robert Boyd Esquire, Sheriff of the City and County of New york by / virtue of a certain Writ of the people of the State of New york to the said Sheriff directed and to this / Inquisition annexed to Enquire of and upon certain matters in the said Writ contained specified / by the oaths of John Young, John [Ritchie?], Garret [Coft], William G. [Forbes?], William Willson, Peter [Steinbrock], Thomas Phillips / Thomas [Geurson], David Gray, Simeon A [Barley], Archibald McCullum, James Boggs —--------- Good and lawful men of your Bailiwick of the aforesaid Sheriff who say upon their oaths / that the said William Irving in the said Writ named hath sustained damages by occafsion / in the said Writ mentioned besides his Costs and Charges by him about his in this behalf / expended to twelve pounds four shillings and two pence —----------- and for those / Costs and Charges to six pence.
