Description

Black and white framed photographic three-quarter length portrait of Janet Delafield. She sits wearing a headband and a white dress with leggings, holding a book, toward which she looks. The print appears to be a platinum print. The frame is made of carved wood and has a remanance of gold hue paint. The decor on the frame is of a stylized flower and leaves alternating with a scroll-like motif. The patterning is not symetrical about the photograph. The backing is of pea green canvasboard, pressed with a design of vertical rows.
