Drawn at the request of Mrs. Richard Aldrich of Rokeby, Barrytown, by Elizabeth Winthrope Emmet, oldest child of youngest sister of Mrs. Aldrich. Kept by latter in her bedroom, memento of old friendship. Presented to Montgomery Place by John Winthrope Aldrich, grandson of Mrs. R. Aldrich in 1974." JWD
