Description

A hanging lamp in the guise of a tassle ending in a silk lamp shade. The lamp is suspended from the ceiling by a round brass mount with a floral motif in relief, consisting of a tri-part leaf motif, a beaded band, a plain band, a center of daisy-like petals. From the center hangs a cord masked by tightly woven fabric that resembles a rope. This ends in a fringed tassle that covers a brass collar composed of four leaves which contains the socket for the bulb. The pull string is a chain of brass beads on to which is attached a macramed extension that ends in a urn-shaped form composed of brass coils. The shade is white, divided into six segments by vertical bands of fabric and tapers slightly towards the middle.
