My dear Sir,
Very particular occupations and / enjoyments prevented my calling at the / theater for several days, and when I did / call I found that you had left town. I / had intended forwarding the letters to Mr / [Cape?] but I have this morning read a letter / from him telling me that you are at / Liverpool [?? until?] the 1st that I am busy / writing the letters and will forward them / in time and?? by coach to such postage /
[END OF PAGE 1]
They will be directed to the care of Mr William [Grapel] Bookseller - [next door but one] to the / Athenaeum where you will please to enquire / for them. I shall send them by tomorrow / evenings coach - or at farthest the next day / so that they will be sure to be on time.
I much haste
Your friend [??]
