My dear Jeannie
You don’t Know how much good / your Kind note has done me, it has taken a / weight off my heart greater than you can imagine / I am really glad to find that there is one of / my wife’s connexions [^ who] can look Kindly upon / me. I Know my heart deserves it for / I have none other than the Kindest feelings / toward them, even to those who may have / wronged me, Will you not go up home / to my house with me this afternoon say / ½ past 3, or 4 o’clock I will come / down again with you. You can / call for me at my office when you / are ready to go. I shall wait for / you, We will take a walk after / we get up there. I Know quite a pretty / one which Sarah + myself [took] [yesterd - / ay?]. David waits and I am in much / haste. You must go up with me
Your very affections
Wm. I
